In order to become a Certified Veterinary Technician, you must graduate from an AVMA-accredited program and sit for the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE). The Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technology is accredited by the AVMA.

From I-25 coming from the North or South: exit on Circle Drive (also called Lake Avenue). Take Circle Drive (also known as Lake Avenue) West to Venetucci Blvd. Take Venetucci Blvd. South to Cheyenne Meadows Road. Go West (left) onto Cheyenne Meadows Road. Make a left into the parking lot for the Animal Hospital of Colorado Springs (1017 Cheyenne Meadows Road). The Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technology is located on the East side of the building.
